I must say this is a very sad and low point in battle rap caught on video. California based battle rapper Cadalack Ron is seen shooting heroin mid battle against Syfer-1 from an event at a clothing store in Compton, CA. Ron has been a mainstay on the battle scene for many years. Cadalack Ron has been performing shows since the age of 16 and has admittedly been in rehab over 10 times for substance abuse. URB Magazine labeled Ron as the "Next 1000" a few years back.
Cadalack Ron emerged from the gutters of Down Town LA's notorious "5th Street Corridor" aka Skid Row in the mid 2000s and almost immediately staked his claim on the city's Hip Hop scene. His honest, often grimy lyrics established him as an artist that was not afraid to talk about the harsh realities of his own life.
The horrible incident happened around the 10 minute mark of the video.
