Here's the latest release from Grand Rapids, MI artist Ryan Scott titled "Man On The Moon". We experience a mix of conscious lyricism backed with melodic backdrops and some familiar beats. The biggest standout track for us is "Blue Collar" (Macklemore Same Love Dub) which sheds some light on the tough economic times in Michigan as a whole. Overall the project is worth a listen if you enjoy truthful and honest lyricism.
Ryan Scott is a Michigan based rap and hip-hop artist. Scott has teamed up with multiple Michigan Acts including former Detroit Lion and now NFL Network host Nate Burleson as the two put out a new song called “Lionblood”. Scott is well known for his remake of Macklemore’s “Same Love”, in which Scott called “Blue Collar” in an attempt to bring hope and inspiration to the people of Michigan during a rough economic period. “Blue Collar” received multiple blog mentions and a feature on 98.7 AMP Radio/CBS. Prior to Blue Collar Scott released a new single “Camouflage Jungle” which topped the Hot 50 Charts on iTunes.
Scott has performed live on the Take Five Show on Channel 13 WZZM News, interviewed on The Michigan Morning Show, and featured in the Lansing State Journal, Grand Rapids Press, and Clarkston News for music notoriety and achievement.
