We received a new compilation from "GODS+WAY" titled "The Collaboration" which blends 15 tracks from all over the U.S. The project features artists from California, Texas, Oklahoma and North Carolina and combines troubled backgrounds with divine intervention.
We start the album with a boom bap inspired track titled "However" from Dr. Knock with a perfectly flipped Soul II Soul sample. Dr. Knock is featured on a few other tracks in the compilation.
Our favorite track on the whole project is "Average Women" by M.O.P(not to be confused with the Brooklyn hip hop duo). Average Women is a track to stop the generalization of females and stepping up as a man.
Overall the entire project has some great messages, boom bap inspired lyricism backed with knockin' beats.
