UPDATE: The Associated Press is reporting that DMX has been released from the hospital following a statement from his attorney. The authorities have confirmed that an antidote to narcotic overdoes was administered to the 45 year old rapper. They have not released an official statement regarding the cause of his collapse.
UPDATE: DMX claims he did not take any "powder" according to new reports. He states he remembers having breathing problems after a few days dealing with bronchitis. A family member reportedly offered X his asthma inhaler before he collapsed.
DMX had a close call with death Monday night after a reported overdose. TMZ reports that the Yonkers rapper was found unconscious outside the Ramada Inn just after 6 PM.
According to reports DMX was found in the parking lot laying on the ground with no pulse. Police performed CPR and administered Narcan, which is an antidote to narcotic overdoses.
DMX became conscious once arriving at hospital and is currently in stable condition. DMX's camp reports that the rapper suffered an "asthma attack".
