Necro just released some lost footage from the archives of a performance from 1992 with Ill Bill in NYC
One of out first real hiphop shows, we didnt even have a routine with songs so we just did the entire show accapella
This was before Wu-tang dropped, when Mobb Deep were little kids, same year Kool G Rap dropped, "On The Run" and 2 years before Illmatic
You can hear how we are super violent and foul if not before or atleast the same time as most of the 90's legends got deals
We werent so lucky, being white we would get ignored alot by labels and they would say we werent marketable
this crowd we murdered was a whole black crowd and notice we are getting mad love
You can hear DJ Evil Dee & 5 FT of Black Moon in the background losing it on stage to our rhymes, this was a year before they dropped their debut album. We had a cameo in their first video, "Who Got The Props?"
I was 16 yrs old & Bill was 20 yrs old
I had just started to develop my style and would get more evil & complex in the next 2 to 3 years
If you noticed over the years we have gone through many style changes, every 2 years we flip our hardcore style into a new different voice or cadence, constantly changing and evolving
this style you hear on this video literally only lasted for about 2 years, Bill got more evil with his voice sounding like the evil doctor, and I started rapping with a death metal voice for like 2 years, until I graduated into a more thugged out style by 1995, and Bill starting to rock the Non Phixion style, thugged out political illuminati steeze
we were just very experimental and never followed trends, we did what the fuck we wanted and kept it hardcore from day one!!!!!!
