Detroit native Exodus Swift has just released his newest project titled "Untamed EP". In true testament to his faith Swift gives us a honest and pure outlook on how gospel hip hop can still be hard hitting with lyricism and hard hitting beats. Overall the 6 track EP was concise, yet sonically could have been re-worked a tad. I am looking forward to see Exodus grow as not just a gospel rapper, but an all around force to be wreck-on with in the Detroit hip hop scene.
The track "Can't Hide" is my favorite on the project, love the way the Fugee's "Ready or Not" sample is flipped on this one.
There are few underestimated artist in this world that catch the attention of major labels. When you think of the words like lyricist, poet, storyteller, rapper, producer, and business owner. Its hard to contribute all of these words into one person. There are few that carry all of those labels. Exodus Swift is one of the few.
